Daire Lennon

I’m a composer, technologist, and sonic artist working at the intersection of sound, image, and interaction. My work invites audiences to shape their own experience through responsive systems that generate unique, evolving soundscapes.

I use field recordings, synthesis, and custom-built interfaces to compose with texture, space, and unpredictability. A football game in the park, bats scattering from a roof, or the resonance of a ferry’s engine through the deck — all become material to shape sonic environments that are immersive and alive.

Some projects let viewers trigger sound from a painting using a handheld device; others use live data — from public transport or environmental sensors — to shape generative performances in real time. What links them all is an interest in emergence over resolution, and in creating open spaces for slow listening and personal connection.

Technology has always been my gateway — into sound, into visual art, and into new ways of sensing the world.
